and expectations, which in turn can lead to severe health issues such as higher stress levels, challenged mental health, and risks of heart disease, dementia, and suicide. According to the Norwegian public health report, Folkehelsemeldingen, loneliness as an issue is increasing among single persons under 35, unemployed persons, and seniors. The increase is also connected to financial problems and some adverse health outcomes, as well as to the stigma attached to loneliness itself.\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"none\">The voluntary sector is crucial in both combatting and preventing loneliness as an issue. Sharing knowledge and strategies within the Nordic area will be beneficial to promoting less lonely and more socially included people and overall better Nordic public health in times to
